I am polysensory. Homo sapiens are polysensory. This means we are able to perceive our environment in multiple ways … seeing, hearing, feeling, tasting and smelling, but in a limited and peculiar homo sapien way. These five senses can be cultivated and expanded, or controlled and mitigated. The human brain receives these senses in code and creates a subjective image. Not only is this image limited by perception, but is effected by past experiences, through interaction with the conscious, subconscious, and unconscious mind.
So, not only do I get fooled by shysters, but sometimes fool myself.
To perceive the truth, to comprehend reality, I must consciously be aware of these limitations and examine my conceptions through reflection.
